For four generations, our family has worked with kapok bedding.

The first three generations followed the traditional way — making kapok mattresses and pillows in the way they had always been made.

Then we started asking a different question:

What if a mattress could be designed around the person — instead of making the person adjust to the mattress?

That question changed everything.

FROM TRADITIONAL KAPOK TO SLEEP ENGINEERING

Our journey began with traditional kapok bedding and grew through customer referrals.

We established our own 65-acre organic native-grade kapok farm, giving us direct access to the raw material we work with.

We developed a slow-speed vertical processing approach to preserve the character of the kapok.

In 2016, we opened our first offline showroom in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu.

In 2017, we went online and introduced Classic Shift.

Then, in 2021, we paused the business.

Not because we had stopped believing in mattresses.

Because we wanted to understand sleep better.

For the next four years, we researched, questioned and experimented.

We explored design thinking, design for senses, sleep dynamics and comfort customization.

That research became the foundation of the next generation of AyurvedicBEDS™.
